Scholarships: Information and Guidelines

The BSSC scholarship fund is made possible by generous support from parents, grandparents, and community members, and the support of the Bolinas-Stinson Community Fund, West Marin Fund, and West Marin Community Services. We earnestly seek contributions from our community members so that we can include all local children who want to participate in camp.

Scholarship application is part of registration, and scholarship applications submitted during online during registration are given priority. If filling out the online scholarship application is a hardship, paper forms can be provided on request to

The deadline for scholarships is May 15th.
Please be mindful of this date so we can allocate fairly our scholarship funds. 

In order to be considered for a scholarship, applicants must register for camp and apply for a scholarship online, or submita scholarship form before the deadline.

If a scholarship is desired, be sure to tick the “We intend to apply for a scholarship” box at the bottom of the CAMP MENU page. Your payment will be expected as soon as scholarship applications are complete, allocations are made, and you are notified of the amount due.

Our funding base is 100% local and we prioritize funding local families in need.

Scholarship funding is never assured until registration ends on June 1st. Scholarship decisions are typically made within the next week, and camper families are notified of their scholarship amount in the second half of June. At that time, we will set up a payment schedule for whatever balance is due.
