Camp Heroes

Every summer, this camp runs on community. Time, trucks, kayaks, lettuce, coins, wisdom, space to sleep, space in a walk-in fridge. It all adds up. Camp like this does not happen by accident. It happens because people care.

We are deeply grateful to the people and organizations who show up for our kids:

Aenor Sawyer and Melinda Griffith for once again sending us out on the water with their generous kayak donations.

Susie Buell for 25 years of gifting us overnights on the banks of the beautiful Bolinas Lagoon waters enjoyed mightily by our campers, staff and parents!

Roberto Garcia and Ben Lowrance for their continued dedication and joy in providing transport to all the places we are so happy to go!

Keith Hanson for sharing his enthusiasm and deep knowledge of birds with us and for his continued donation of West Marin Coins to our scholarship fund!

AB and Samira from the Bolinas Market for making the space they allow us to use in their refrigerator for our food supplies when we needed it most.

The Coastal Marin Fund, honoring the legacy of Richard Kirschman and Doris Ober, for helping connect local generosity to real scholarship support.

Our many Local Private Donors for helping to support our scholarship families!

The Mesa Park Board for welcoming us into the parks for the past five years.

The Board of the Bolinas–Stinson Beach Fund for grants supporting scholarships, training, and special projects.

The Board of the West Marin Fund for expanding outreach to Latino families and strengthening scholarship funding.

West Marin Community Services for ongoing scholarship support.

Randi Arnold at the Bolinas Community Center of the Bolinas Community Center for her constant vigilance and support of the program.

Our volunteer assistant counselors Amelie, Arlo, Charley, and Oceanna, who gave their time and heart to the younger campers.

Greg Reza for educating and guiding campers in the pulling of huge mounds of invasive ice plant from Kent Island as part of the Kent Island Restoration Project!

Point Blue Conservation Science for mist net walks, bird specimens, and deepening our understanding of local bird populations.

Star Route Farm for lettuce donations and access to the farm for pond studies.

Bolinas Fire Department and its volunteer firefighters for introducing campers to fire safety, communications systems, and a ride around the Mesa.

Point Reyes National Seashore park rangers for teaching campers about the Seashore and the animals who live here.

And finally, Keith Ciampa, for leading the redesign and launch of our new website and donating many hours behind the scenes to strengthen camp’s presence and support its future.

Help Us Keep Camp Accessible

Every scholarship, every kayak trip, every overnight under the stars happens because people step up.

If you believe kids deserve salt air, scraped knees, new skills, and a place where they belong, consider making a donation. Your support goes directly toward scholarships, staff training, and the simple, essential things that make camp run safely and smoothly.

Whether it is a one-time gift or ongoing support, it makes a real difference for local families.

Give what you can. Help a kid get to camp.
